We used Ritz Limousines for our wedding, and it was the worst decision that we could have made. While we were taking our photos before the ceremony, the limo driver kept driving away, leaving us in certain locations for much longer than we needed, all with the additional stress of not knowing whether he was coming back (and many of the bridesmaids had left their personal belongings in the limo). Weddings are not easy to plan. Sometimes you need to alter your itinerary slightly. Whenever we contacted Ritz to make a slight change to the time they needed to pick us up, or drop us off, we were met with an e-mail telling us this would cost us "$100-$200 more". I thought that this might be par for the course with limo companies, but after checking with our day-of planner she said that it was extremely unusual and they were being exceptionally rigid. To make matters worse, we were supposed to have a limo pick us, our wedding parties, and a few of our friends up at the end of the night around 1am. I get a call from Ritz around 12:45 saying that they'll be about 15 minutes late due to a "Teddy Bear incident" that happened onboard. Keep in mind, they mentioned they would be about 15 minutes late. That means we should expect them around 1:15 or so, right? They don't show up until about 2-2:30 in the morning. By that time, most of our friends have called cabs and made their way home. On top of that, when the guy finally does show up, he parks way off to the side, and the only reason we notice he's arrived is because we think we can hear his engine running. I go around the corner and check, sure enough there he is sitting in the driver seat of the limo. Who knows how long he was there for. I didn't get a phone call or anything saying he had arrived... so frustrating. The only good thing I have to say about them is that I called them the next day and managed to get refunded for the pickup fee at the end of the night. Totally unacceptable. They mentioned that the driver was new, and that he'd only had a couple days of training. What are you doing assigning a new driver to a wedding, especially when we needed someone with the expertise to find a good spot to park while we had our photographer take photos before the ceremony? Just awful. If you're planning a wedding, DO NOT use these guys.
